With some excitement due to a new tripod purchase, and Emily working the weekend, I decided to head out east of Iowa City into the area around West Branch and see how well the D200 could perform IR photography...its definitely not as good as my old D70, as it takes ~30 sec. exposures to get any appreciable signal strength. This results in some blurring of foliage due to even a slight breeze, below was one of the better results...

Here in Iowa, the evenings have cooled off, and as a result, for the first time in what seems like a long time, we've been able to sleep without the air-conditioning running, and this has been very enjoyable (the crickets/insects have been a bit loud, but if that's all we can complain about, life is pretty good).

Contrary to what many of you viewing our blog may think, this forum/blog of what we've been up to has not turned into a dental exposé...its just that there really isn't anything too exciting that's been happening with us lately (this may change soon). Thus we are limited to posting about topics that are banal to everyone except Chris...teeth.

So last night, after days of pleading with Emily, we finally sat down to have a photo session, albeit a dental one. For those of you unaware of Emily's amazing dentition, she exhibits quite amazing "lobing" texture to her front teeth...and so what better way to frame these beauties than with some pouty-red lipstick, well...see for yourself.
