Yesterday afternoon, before our friends Sarah and Anthony stopped by from Chicago for part of the weekend, we took Ava to have her hair cut for the first time . . . and much to our surprise, she did remarkably well. Only a few tears were shed in the beginning "prep-work", but once the cutting began, Ava just fell into her typical flirty self, waving to nearby patrons and hairstylists, as well as saying "Hi" in her most optimistic tone. Will going to the hairstylist be a regular event for Ava? . . . we think not, but we figured 'hey, why not give her a cool do for her first cut'. Ava celebrated by coming home and eating some mid-afternoon snacks, and then taking a great nap before Sarah and Anthony arrived.

OMG, she's SO adorable! I love the end result, she's really cute in her pink leopard vest and her new do. It is after all, hard to mess up a great work of art to begin with. Hey, I can say that, she's my granddaughter!
Ava looked so adorable with her new "do". Thanks again for hosting us for the night. The meatloaf was amazing and the brownies hit the spot for a late night desert. :)
Cute pics! Love the 'do! (Long hair pics on the last post are great too! Love to see her smile!

Cute! It's nice she has hair! She is not much older then Emmy and Emmy is so bald I can BARELY get a teeny tiny clip in her hair, but it doesn't stay.
Great Haircut!! Hope you guys are well,
Zach
lol. I love how at first she's like-- oh wow, a comb, and then followed by immediate tears when the scissors came out. ...sarah b.
